Nazarene Space

How do you all handle Halloween?

Do you just not answer the door?

Do you put some kind of sign on the door?

Do you give away anti-Halloween candy with a tract attached concerning Halloween and/or Nazarene Judaism?

In South Africa we don't really see Halloween.
But if you try a trick or treat over here you might end up getting shot.

I live on a cul de sac and have been here for 8 years..on the first Halloween after moving in, I went to the door and just told my neighbors that I live a Biblical life and that Halloween is NOT Biblical, and is from the other team!! No one comes on that day, they all know better..but, sadly, no one comes for the TRUTH either, even though I have had many discussions with them and handed out books and DVD's, etc...shalom

We simply leave out porch light off, which is a signal that you don't want to participate.

I myself do not do anything for Halloween just like Christmas and Easter. However, I do take notice of what happened upon October 31, 1517 when Martin Luther posted his 95 thesis on the Wittenberg cathedral. Even though Martin Luther was vehemently anti-Semitic, I do recognize his role to bringing much of Western Europe out of the Catholic Church.

  Why

I put a "NO SELICITATION" sign on my door!

I don't, it is pagan!

Blessings!

Make soul cakes, attend the Requiem Mass, and pray for the departed.
