I say thank you, you also have a Blessed Merry Christmas too!
Personally I like to say "bah-humbug", and smile real big while waiting for a reply. I do not say it like the Grinch that stole christ-mass, but rather as a happy soul that could care less for it. This usually throws the people off to the point that they want to ask why I would say such a thing, in which I like to take the time to explain the definition of the word. So basically I get to tell them that christ-mass is a bunch of dishonest trash.
I also like to make and pass-out christ-mass cards (see attachment). It is to be printed on booth side of an 8.5x11 card stock and folded twice. This way when it is unfolder they first see "unto the spirit of christ-mass", then the responce "bah-humbug", and finally they get to the cartoon inside explaining what's up.Cool beaners, huh?
Feel free to print as many as you like and pass them out, and go so far as to mail them to you relative.
I like Will's response also. But, I feel inadequate in being able to fully explain the alternative and scripturally correct observance of Chanukah instead....
The Hasmonean dynasty was the ruling dynasty of Judea and surrounding regions during classical antiquity. Between c. 140 BC and c. 116 BC.
Question, would Judaism have survived had the Maccabees failed? Is there evidence that had Anticus and his armies succeeded in suppressing Judaism completely that somewhere a remnant group would have kept the scriptures from disappearing?
I usually say "Happy Holidays" (Sărbători Fericite! in Romanian or Chag Sameah!).
Chag Chanukah Sameah ue Shabbat Shalom!
You can rotate the 2nd page at cutepdf-editor.com/edit.asp

the second page is up side down on purpose. Print the second page on the back side of the first page (preferably card stock). That way when you fold it in three parts it will unfold just right. Try doing it and you will get the picture. If on rotates the picture then it will mess it up mas far as being a card so to speak.
Christos Genate! Dhoxazate! Christ is born! Glorify Him!
