The Name of Messiah is Not Yeshua or Yahshua, but rather Yahweh:

“The days are coming,” declares Yahweh,
“when I will raise up to David a righteous Branch,
a King who will reign wisely
and do what is just and right in the land.
6 In his days Judah will be saved
and Israel will live in safety.
This is the name by which he will be called:
Yahweh Our Righteousness.  (Jer. 23)

This is repeated again in Jeremiah 33:

“‘In those days and at that time
I will make a righteous Branch sprout from David’s line;
he will do what is just and right in the land.
16 In those days Judah will be saved
and Jerusalem will live in safety.
This is the name by which it will be called:
Yahweh Our Righteousness.’

Then in Isaiah 44:6 the following:

6 “Thus says Yahuweh, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, Yahuweh of hosts:

‘I am the first and I am the last,

And there is no Elohim besides Me.

Yahshua inherited His Father's Name:

4 So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.  (Heb. 1)

Therefore Elohim exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Yahweh every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue confess that Yahweh Messiah is Master,
to the glory of Elohim the Father.  (Philippians 2)

12 Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my Elohim. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my Elohim and the name of the city of my Elohim, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my Elohim; and I will also write on him my new name. 13 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. (Rev. 3)

Not to mention the many passages in the Tanakh that mention "Yahweh" coming to the earth to judge the nations of the earth.

No argument here...

I agree with everything you've said and would add that Messiah has a first name as well.  Messiah is "He Who Is" (from the verb הוה - the same verb the Divine Name comes from), whereas YHWH (the Father, the Most High) is He Who Is, Was and Will Be (Rev 1:8), El Olam (Gen 21:33).  So it is not incorrect to say that Yahushua, is Yahu YHWH.  Just like English, first name and last name.  I believe this is the origin of the name of Messiah that I favor - Yahu-shua.  Yahu is Salvation.

I would further add that in Rabbinic literature he is Metatron, whether certain of the unbelieving rabbis understood it or not.  I believe the exact shape of the Godhead was referred to by the authors of the Zohar as "the mystery of faith".

Hi Chandler Fulton,

Blessings to you through Messiah Yahushua, My YAHWEH and My ELOHIM!

You can see in each of my posts that I acknowledge that Messiah Yahushua is YAHWEH.

I make this confession based upon a number of reasons, and important in my determination is the fact that the LXX translates the Sacred Name as KURIOS.  The LXX was written by Jewish Rabbis who were given the task of translating the Hebrew Sacred Texts into the Greek language.  This translation occurred before the advent of Messiah Yahushua and before any belief in HIM did arise.  Accordingly, the translating Rabbis cannot be accused of hiding anything and thereby subverting any belief in Messiah Yahushua.

My question to you is this:  Is it permissible to refer to Messiah Yahushua as KURIOS?  If not, why not?

Thanking you in advance should you be moved to reply, I am,

Sincerely, Latuwr

My understanding is that the oldest copies of the Septuagint that we have in existence today do not have "Kurios" but "YHWH" in Hebrew.  I myself prefer to speak to our Messiah and address Him as "Messiah Yahweh".  I think "Kurios" has some pagan origins in that title that you will find if you research it a bit on the internet.

Hi Chandler Fulton,

Blessings to you through Messiah Yahushua, My YAHWEH and My ELOHIM!

I have no objection to your preference.  Likewise, I have no objection to those who desire to refer to My YAHWEH Yahushua Messiah as KURIOS IESOUS KRISTOS; neither do I have any objection to anyone who refers to My YAHWEH Messiah Yahushua as LORD Jesus Christ.

Do you object to the transliteration of the Sacred Names?  If so, why?

Thanking you in advance should you be moved to reply, I am,

Sincerely, Latuwr
