Torah teaches that the tithe was paid in 6 of 7 years on crops, but NO TITHE WAS PAID in the 7th year. Funny how most Christian pastors do not instruct their flock to take a break from tithing every 7th year.

In every 7 year cycle, there was a tithe paid in the 3rd and 6th year (some say only the 3rd year) that was different from what was paid in the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th years of every 7 year cycle.
