"Many thanks for the timely input James; very revealing what is written in the Zohar here (I have never read those passages before).  I am keeping you and your wife in prayer. "

"The Bible states that Torah obedience cannot save us, a fact which the troublemakers of Galatians didn’t agree with (they were the extremists who wanted to circumcise Gentiles for salvation, see ACTS 15). Your article attempts to discredit the…"

"One last remark: We are all sons of the first Adam who transgressed God’s Law and passed on spiritual death to us (ROM 5:12). Now, we can either embrace that heritage and remain spiritually dead (despite our Torah observance) or we can embrace…"

"You don’t seem to understand the basics of salvation, James. Believers in Yeshua should of course continue to do everything what is written in the law - but that alone will save no one. Yehovah put the curse for man disobeying the law onto His…"

Jake Wilson commented on James Trimm's blog post What do You Mean... Works the Law?
"Gal 3:10 shows that Paul refers to the Torah, so I hope no one thinks that they will be saved by obeying the Torah plus having faith in Yeshua. Paul nowhere says that the "works of the law" are bad, but that they won't save anyone.…"

Profile Information

Do you consider yourself a:
Nazarene Jew
Books I consider Canonical:
Tanak (Old Testament), Ketuvim Netzarim (New Testament), The Apocrypha, The Book of Enoch
Favorite version of Scriptures:
Hebraic Roots Version
About me:
I attended a Pentecostal congregation for 25 years but was excommunicated when I wanted to keep Shabbat. Like all Nazarenes of old I am born of water & Spirit, viz., I speak in tongues and am Jewish in Yehovah's eyes (ROM 2:28-29); besides I have had a B'rit Milah last year.

I have visited Israel four times, keep Shabbat, dietary laws, feasts, wear tzitzis, etc., - and I pray daily in the Spirit (i.e., in tongues as per ACTS 2:4).

I realized that nothing of the Torah has been abolished, and that a Nazarene accepts Yeshua plus seeks to obey the whole Torah (not in order to earn salvation though).

Though there are many beautiful Jewish customs, I reject the Oral Law if it violates the Written Torah. .
Marital Status
Married
Music:
I like "Hatikvah", "Jerusalem of Gold" and "The Messiah" from Händel.
Generally, classical & Jewish music.
Interests:
The hebrew language, the Jewish people, the State of Israel, manuscripts, prophecy, history.
Favorite Television Shows and Movies:
The Young Messiah
Risen
AD Kingdom
Ben Hur (old and new version)
Narnia
One Night with the King
Gifted Hands
Masada
What is your favorite Book of the Scriptures?
Difficult to say. I like Yeshayahu very much, but also Daniel for example.
What is your favorite verse?
"Comfort you, comfort you My people, says your Elohim. Bid Yerushalayim take heart, and proclaim to her, that her appointed time is accomplished, that her guilt is paid off; that she has received of YHWH's hand double for all her sins." (Yeshayahu 38:18)
[Referring to her Seven Times of national punishment from 536 BC - 1948]
What is your favorite quote? (From Scripture or elsewhere)
Sorry, can't say.
How did you hear of NazareneSpace?
I had found out that, e.g., the Albigenses kept Shabbat, circumcision, rejected the trinity, etc. and were thus killed by the Papacy. I then landed on NazareneSpace when browsing the Internet on the topic of "Christians who keep the Torah."
