Being Sephardim

Sephardic law and customs means the practice of Judaism as observed by the Sephardi and Mizrahi Jews, so far as it is peculiar to themselves and not shared with other Jewish groups such as the Ashkenazim. Sephardim do not constitute a separate denomination within Judaism, but rather a distinct cultural, juridical and philosophical tradition. Sephardim are, primarily, the descendants of Jews from the Iberian peninsula. They may be divided into the families that left in the Expulsion of 1492 and…See More

How did Jews get to Spain

A Timetable of Jews in Iberia11/29/2013The story of Gracia Mendes is one of hundreds of thousands that can be told about Sephardic Jews in the 16th century. We generally think of them as "Spanish Jews" although their story takes them into Portugal, Holland, Italy, Turkey, and the Americas. And they are only part of a larger picture of expulsions of Jews throughout Europe.  This timetable is a…See More

Natsarim Connections

This is a group for all Nazarenes to connect and socialize and meet friends that may be in your area!  It is a place to share info regarding groups that study and observe Torah (Commandments, Feasts, and the details thereof -- howto's, why's and when, where, etc) and encouraging and exhorting one another, in YHWHs Spirit of love. Theological debates should be avoided here.  Those discussions can take place in other groups, or on the main discussion board.See More

What is your favorite Book of the Scriptures?
Yeshayah
What is your favorite verse?
Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:1,2

Let the word of Messiah dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to the Lord. Whatever you do, in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Yeshua, giving thanks to God the Father, through him. Colossians 3:16-17
What is your favorite quote? (From Scripture or elsewhere)
Hear O Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One" (Shema Yisrael Adonai eloheinu Adonai ehad) (Deuteronomy 6:4)
