- My family is building a house into a rock on a hillside. It has been a long time in the works, as it has been paid for as it goes. We hope to be finished before Shavuot. Update - we are still working on it!.
The house where my sons were born burned to the ground ten years ago. The house we are building is dug into the rock and is also fireproof. It is a metaphor about how our family had struggled and is overcoming.

A time for mourning. Begins this evening.
The 9th day of the 5th Biblical month, is traditionally a time of mourning for the loss of the Holy Temple. In fact, both the First and Second Temple were destroyed on this very same day! The First Temple was destroyed by the Babylonians in 586 B.C. and the Second Temple was destroyed by the Romans in 70 A.D. Other calamities have also befallen Israel on this infamous day.
1. The Israelites failed to enter the Promised Land.

Daniel 7:25 "change times and laws"

BTW, if you are interested in some Biblically observant, at least from a Sabbath and Feast perspective, chicken feed I may have some Emmer come Harvest. It also may make excellent people feed :). I hope to find or build a de-huller.
