I think that using Gen 33:17 is not a very strong argumen...

As to favorite version of the Scriptures, I prefer the ISR Scriptures for the Tanakh and the HRV for the Apostolic Scriptures. I also frequently make use of the CJB, the Artscroll edition Tanakh, and the notes from the RSTNE.
