Did Yochanan Write the Sefer Yetzirah?

The Sefer Yetzirah is an ancient Hebrew document which among the earliest and most significant of Kabbalistic texts. No one knows who the author of the book was, several possibilities have been proposed. One possibility that has occurred to me is that Yochanan the Emissary and Talmid of Yeshua was the author. There are a number of parallels between the Sefer Yetzirah and the book of Revelation:

1. Both books make use of the “seven stars”. Rev. 1:16, 20 refer to “the seven stars”… Continue

Messianic Judaism or Nazarene Judaism: Are they the same?

Some have asked about the relationship between Messianic Judaism and Nazarene Judaism, the following in an excerpt from a teaching given at our first conference NETZARIM '99 in 1999 by Rav Mikhael:

I believe the central issue that we need to address is one of identity. With whom do we identify, or, as I have heard it poignantly stated before, with whom will we be persecuted? Many people who hear of us and what we are doing will identify us with the Messianic Jewish Movement (I… Continue

Messianic Judaism or Nazarene Judaism: What’s in a Name?

Messianic Judaism or Nazarene Judaism: What’s in a Name?

You may be surprised to find out that the original Jewish followers of Yeshua were not

known as “Messianic Jews”. As Daniel Juster admits:

No form of Judaism or Christianity… has used the term

“Messianic Judaism” as its appropriate designation.

(Jewish Roots; 1986 edition, p. viii)

The original followers of Yeshua were a sect of Judaism known as “Nazarenes” (as we read in Acts 24:5 that Paul… Continue

A Brief History of the Modern Restoration of the Ancient Nazarene Sect of Judaism

Although Nazarene Judaism can be classed as “Messianic Judaism” there are certainly some differences between our movement and what is commonly called “Messianic Judaism”.

The “Sacred Name Movement” is a movement of loosely connected groups which began first to grow out of the Church of God Seventh Day and other Sabbatarian groups beginning in the 1920’s. The main factors connecting these “Yahwists” were 7th day Sabbath Keeping; Feast Keeping; refraining from…

Thank You for Your Support

Shalom NazareneSpace members,

I want to thank you all for your support. We still need to do much better, but this month this community showed a determination to get more serious about financial support for this work. We raised (so far) a little over $1.00 per member, we can do much better than that, but it is a much higher ratio than similar on-line communities.

This is a testimony to your willingness to support an overlord free community that endeavors to keep the unity… Continue

Nazarene Israelites Explained

Nazarene Israelites Explained

By Jason Jordan

Who are Nazarene Israelites? This is a fair question. The most alarming thing to reconcile is the reality that they are not Christians. This naturally and understandably causes immediate concern for a Christian. This concern will often cause a conditioned churchgoer to switch off at any subsequent explanation. If you haven't switched off please feel free to read… Continue

Tehillim (Psalms) - The Most Overlooked Book in Scripture / An introduction to an onging series on Psalms

Tehillim (Psalms)

Session 2

Part 2 of a 4 Part Introduction

If the Prophet Moshe gave Israel the five books of the Torah and King David gave Israel the five books of the Psalms, why is the latter virtually absent from the study literature that is emerging among the rebirth of the Natsarim? The answer is because the enemy has kept it partially concealed; knowing that familiarity with it has the potential to bring… Continue

Matthew 18 Process

So often in this movement we hear people speak about the Matthew 18 process, yet so few really understand how this process works.

The process involved is outlined in Matthew 18:15-20 and is suggested by Matt. 18:6f.

The Matthew 18 process is nothing new, it was a restatement and a clarification of the Deut. 19:15 process (as Mt. 18:16 quotes Deut. 19:15). It is a description of how a Beit Din functions.

STEP 1 “And if your brother sins against you, go and… Continue

I know we have all been very busy getting ready for Shavuot. Personally I have been as busy as a one-eyed tom cat watching two mouse holes :-)

I am not going to recount all the work this ministry is doing bringing the message of Torah and Messiah to the lost world, bringing milk to new believers and nice juicy steaks for mature believers.

Why Shavuot is on Sunday

15: And you shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:

16: Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and you shall offer a new meat offering unto YHWH.

17: Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baked with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto YHWH.

(Lev.… Continue

Gifts of Tongues & Interpretation By Rabbi Rob Miller

The following is a teaching from my friend and colleague Rabbi Rob Miller on the Gift of Tongues:

Gifts of Tongues & Interpretation

By Rabbi Rob Miller

“Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant: you know that you were Gentiles, carried away to these dumb idols, however you were led. Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of Yahweh calls YahShua accursed, and no one can say that YahShua is King except by… Continue

Tongues and the Urim and Thummim

As we count the omer, preparing for Shavuot and to receive an outpouring of the Ruach HaKodesh let us endeavor in a more in depth study of the gifts of Tongues and the Urim and Thummim

Shalom Chaverim,

In my last blog I spoke of the “immersion of the Ruach HaKodesh (Holy Spirit) as mentioned in 1Cor. 12:12-13. Two of the manifestations of the Holy Spirit that are mentioned in 1Cor. Chapters 12-14 is “Kinds of Tongues” and “Interpretation of Tongues”. Many seem to think… Continue

1Cor and Counting Omer 4: The Words of Elohim

1Corinthians and the Counting of the Omer

Part 4: The Words of Elohim

By James Trimm

The Lower Triad

The balance between tongues and interpretations of tongues is prophecy: tongues + interpretation of tongues = prophecy. Prophecy is our foundation.

Kinds of Tongues

Man was created in the image of Elohim. One of the ways that man was created in the image of Elohim was in being “male and female” (Gen. 1:26-27). But there is also another… Continue
