first post

Hi and welcome to my blog. I intend to post some of my poetry up here as well as ramble on about whatever is on my mind.

I live in a small town in a fairly isolated area. There is no messianic congregation anywhere near here, the nearest is 4 hours drive away. I attend a Baptist Church where i am active in the music ministry, playing piano and singing. I'm very interested to know about the hebraic roots of my faith.

Well that gives you some background on me. It's… Continue

How Christianity Replaced Passover with Weekly Communion and Easter

How Christianity Replaced Passover

with Weekly Communion and Easter

By James Scott Trimm

In speaking of the so-called “Lord’s Supper” Paul writes “For as often as you eat this bread, and drink this cup, you do show our Adon’s death till he come” (1Cor. 11:26)

For many modern Gentile Christians this means “communion” and…

Tehillim (Psalms) Chapter 1-6 / An Exhaustive Commentary from a Natsarim Perspective

Psalms, Chapter 1:1-6

Verse 1

“The praises of man are that he walked not in the counsel of the wicked, And stood not in the path of the sinful, and sat not in the session of scorners.”

The Prophet Moshe wrote the entire Torah, however the closing chapter was more than likely closed off by his chief student Joshua ben Nunn. How do we know this? Because at the commencement of the final… Continue

Pt. 3 - Farmed Fish May Pose Risk For Mad Cow Disease

Farmed Fish May Pose Risk For Mad Cow Disease

LOUISVILLE, Ky. University of Louisville neurologist Robert P. Friedland, M.D., questions the safety of eating farmed fish in today's Journal of Alzheimer's Disease, adding a new worry to concerns about the nation's food supply.

Friedland and his co-authors suggest farmed fish could transmit Creutzfeldt Jakob disease--commonly known as mad cow disease--if they are fed byproducts rendered from cows. The scientists urge… Continue

Armstrong and the old Worldwide Church of God

From time to time I have been asked my opinion of Herbert W. Armstrong and the Worldwide Church of God.

Let me begin by saying that I do not agree with everything Armstrong taught. However Armstrong taught many truths that were definitely on the cutting edge for his time.

The very name “Church of God” though still using gentilized terminology was a Scriptural name, as the Body of Messiah is generally referred to in the Ketuvim Netzarim (the so-called “New Testament”) as… Continue

The Midrash of Jacob's Sticks

There is a beautiful Midrash concerning the death of the patriarch Ya'kov (Jacob).

From his deathbed Ya'kov called his twelve sons to him asking them each to bring a stick. When they had come to him Ya'akov asked his sons to tie all the sticks in a bundle. Then he asked them to each try to break the bundle of sticks. Having passed the bundle around they each failed to break it. Then Ya'akov told them to loose the bundle, pass the individual sticks around, and attempt to break them… Continue

Report from the One God Seminar

The One God Seminar was held June 13-14, 2009 at the Hilton in Dallas Texas.

This was is an annual "Nature of God" seminar held by a groups of Christians,

many of whom are Sabbatarians and Feast Keepers, who have developed a very

low "Christology" and rejected the deity of the Messiah.

Each year they invite an opposing speaker to challenge their view. My old friend

Dr. Arnold of the Reunion Institute in Houston had recommended me as a good

challenging speaker… Continue

Rules and Tools for Prophetic Interpretation

"The Golden Rule of Interpretation:"

"'Take every word at its primary, ordinary, usual, literal meaning unless the facts of the context indicate otherwise.' This rule is recognized by all logicians, grammarians, and rhetoricians as the true criterion by which one must be governed. When one is guided by this princple he cannot go far afield. On the other hand, if he ignores it, he is free to roam at liberty and can never know… Continue

What is Torah?

This question has be touted and asked throughout the history of Mankind! Don't get hung up in the word "Torah", it simply means learning, teaching, instructions and all that that entails. All and any of the Writings is Torah.

So with that in mind when was Torah first pasted down to us? I give you a hint before we were made from the dust of the earth. YHVH (Yahweh) began with Yeshua, Then came everything else! The first was establishing the days; even and morning day… Continue

Promised Peace

There is a place of rest eternal
where by faith we enter in
where the peace of G_d through Christ
calms rough waters and strong winds.
In the midst of times of trouble
we need not fear nor faint when Christ
is our place of strength and comfort
when storm clouds rage and waters rise.
Abiding in our Saviour
we rise above life's weary waves
confident in Him to keep us
we overcome each day by faith.

The Beckoning

In a world of people blinded

by lack of vision and lack of faith

the Lord will pour out His Spirit

and open wide Heaven's gate.

Like the whispering of the wind

the Spirit will speak to every heart

to receive the light of truth

shining rays of hope into the dark.

Like a flame burning brightly

like a beacon in the night

the Spirit will surround us with G_d's love

and guide us by His light.

The Lord is calling forth a people

as the… Continue

Oh beauty behind the vail, your eyes have teared so long, your cry i hear. To you I speak come draw near. Let Me remove the vail so that your beauty may be revealed. No more tears, no more hiding. For i am thy Father the One who calls you by name. Let me release you from shame free you from pain. Come and rest in my Arms for today is the day that I have made. Oh here i wait

As the sun shines through the clouds, I see your grace.

How Wonderful is your name oh most High.

Your breath has created us all, and with your hands

you have molded us, and placed us here on this earth.

So that by seeking You, You would guide us back

together as One, to praise your Name.

A purpose for our lives, a challenge we must face.

But a love for the One who created us all.

In You we put our trust, dont ever let us be ashamed,
