As recorded in Gen. 3:15, YHWH Elohim announced to the guilty pair in the garden of Eden that of the "seed" of the woman the Savior of mankind would appear, by whom "the Serpent" would be destroyed. After the flood, when the human race was centralized on the plains of Babylon, Satan sought to turn men away from G-d's plan of redemption by producing a counterfeit Messiah. He found a ready tool in an ambitious woman, Semeramis, the widow of Nimrod, "the mighty hunter before YHWH" (Gen. 10:9) who had met with a violent death. Nimrod had been deified as being a deliverer from the menace of wild animals. His wife, seeking to perpetuate his worship and also to retain power over men herself, deceived them into joyfully believing that through a miraculous conception she had given birth to a son called Tammuz, purported to be Nimrod reincarnated. Here then, 2000 B.C.E. was HaSatan's counterfeit of the promised "Seed" of the woman. This woman with her illegitimate son was thenceforth worshipped as "mother of (a) G-d" (Madonna)-- "the queen of heaven." Thus originated the ancient Babylonian mystery religion, the fountainhead of all idolatry covering the globe. Every idol mentioned in the Bible as well as in mythology, having varied names in different lands, can be traced to this source.

Alexander Hislop, in his monumental work. THE TWO BABYLONS, has clearly shown that the papal worship is none other than the worship of Nimrod and his wife, disguised in a garb of Christianity. Concerning the Christmas festival Hislop writes:

The Christmas was originally a pagan festival is beyond all doubt. The time of the year, the ceremonies with which it is celebrated, prove its origin. In Egypt, the son of Isis, the Egyptian title for the queen of heaven, was born at this very time, about the time of the winter solstice. The very name by which Christmas is popularly known among ourselves-- Yule day-- proves at once its pagan and Babylonian origin. "Yule" is the Chaldee name for "infant," or "little child"; and as the 25th of December was called by our pagan Anglo-Saxon ancestors "Yule-day" or "the child's day", and the night that preceded it, "Mother night", long before they came in contact with Christianity, that sufficiently proves its real character. Far and wide in the realms of paganism was this birthday observed
(THE TWO BABYLONS; Alexander Hislop; p. 93)

It may be demonstrated that Y'shua was not born in the winter at all, but during the Fall Feasts. Since YHWH has not in his Word authorized the celebration of Christmas, then who induced men to begin doing so, and how was it being brought about? As early as the first century Paul was condemning those from the Gentiles who were attempting to incorporate their old pagan "days, and months and seasons and years" into their new faith (Gal. 4:8-11). About the year 230 the Gentile Christian "Church Father" Tertullian wrote:

By us [Gentile Christians] who are strangers to (Jewish) Sabbaths, and new moons, and festivals, once acceptable to G-d, the Saturnalia, the feasts of January, the Brumalia, and Matronalia are now frequented, with gifts being carried to and fro.

Since Tammuz was worshipped as G-d incarnate, that implied also that he was an incarnation of the "L-rd of the heavens," the sun, and since the sun noticeably began to grow stronger at about the 25th of December, this date came to be known not only as the rebirth of Nimrod but of the Sun as well. In ancient Rome this day was known as "Natalis Invicti Solis"-- the birthday of the unconquered sun. Lights were kindled then to burn until the 6th of January (Epiphany). The feast of Saturnalia, lasting about a week, was held at this time of the winter solstice, accompanied with much merrymaking, wild revelry and debauchery. To obtain more adherents to Roman Catholicism it was the policy of the papacy to amalgamate the heathen festivals with things of Christendom. Pope Gregory wrote to Augustine the first missionary to the British Isles (C.E. 597):

Do not destroy the temples of the English G-ds; change them to Christian churches. Do not forbid the "harmless" customs which have been associated with the old religions; consecrate them to Christian use. Thus Rome retained a pagan form for "Xmas" but could not restrain its pagan spirit-- existing to this day.

Sir James Fraser in "The Golden Bough" writes:

Thus it appears that the Christian Church chose to celebrate the birthday of its founder on the 25th of December in order to transfer the devotion of the heathen from the sun to him who was called the Sun of Righteousness. If that was so, there can be no intrinsic improbability in the conjecture that motives of the same sort may have led the ecclesiastical authorities to assimilate the Easter festival of the death and resurrection of their L-rd to the festival of the death and resurrection of another Asiatic G-d which fell in the same season.

The name "Christmas" appeared about 450 C.E. when Pope Julius decreed that all Catholics must celebrate the birthday of Christ at the same time that the heathen were celebrating the Saturnalia, etc. It was designated as "Christe-masse", or Christ's mass.

Few know that the so-called "Christmas tree" had its origin in Babylon's mystery religion, where it was used to represent Tammuz (which name means a sprout) HaSatan's counterfeit of "The Branch" (Hebrew: NETZER; branch; shoot; sprout)-- Messiah, who was also prophetically called "The Root out of dry ground" (Is. 11:1; 53:2; Jer. 23:5; Zech. 6:12-- "Behold the man whose name is The Branch"). Ancient coins have been found picturing a tree stump (representing dead Nimrod) and a small tree growing nearby (Tammuz). The Egyptians used the palm tree; the Romans a pine tree. The "Xmass tree" of idolatrous Israelites is described in Jer. 10:1-4, where the modern tree seems vividly pictured. Mistletoe and holly figured prominently in the early Anglo-Saxon and Druidic tree worship.

The whole hearted believer will not contribute to this perpetuation of Christmas by observing it in any way whatsoever; but will withdraw in horror from such pagan-born celebrations revered by a world that greeted the infant Messiah with Herod's sword, reeking with the blood of Bethlehem's baby boys, and which finally crucified Him in diabolical hatred. The prophecy of Rev. 11:10 may soon be fulfilled when YHWH's two witnesses shall be slain, then "they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them and make merry and shall send gifts to one another."

"Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them."
(Eph. 5:11).

The birth of Jesus is remembered each year but Y'shua is contemptuously set at naught.

The Torah reminds us:

"You shall not follow a multitude to do evil"
(Ex. 23:2)

And as Y'shua himself said:

"That which is highly esteemed among men is abominable in the sight of Elohim"
(Luke 16:15)

And as Paul writes:

"Be you not conformed to this world but be you transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may know what is that good and acceptable and wholehearted will of G-d."
(Rom. 12:2)

NOT my favorite time of year.
Pray that I may avoid contention.

Bless up.

Brother Trimm, everything you have written is correct, but it goes back further, please examine this page on my website:

The gematria for "Satan" is the #359.

And the word "Satan" appears for the first time in scripture in the first verse of the 359th chapter of the KJV.

And Xmas starts at sun down the 359th day of the pagan calender we are on.

When these people, who have been decieved into "the synagogue of Satan" set up idols representing "The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil", celebrating their rebellion against The LORD.

Many Blessings -

What do you think about this site? It references Jesus, but I think this guy has a pretty good understanding.

Chanukah is soon to be upon us.

This is a good time to read 1,2 and 4th Maccabees.

Especially: 1Macc. 4:59 and 2Macc. 10:5-8

You may also want to see Josephus Ant. 12:7:6-7

And the Babylonian Talmud b.Shabbat 21b

Oh yea and Yochanan 10:22

It is sad that Chanukah is often thought of a the Jewish equivalent of Christmas.

Christmas and Chanukah are complete opposites.

Christmas is the result of assimilation into Pagan Helenistic culture.

Chanukah has to do with resisting assimilation into Pagan Helenistic culture,
even to the point of death.

Let us remember the true message of Chanukah and what for us is the
"reason for the season"... resisting Pagan helenistic influences such
as Christmas.

The whole world has been deceived & it is difficult to extract oneself from these influences, but we must.
Every year seems to get more difficult, especially when I am the only one in my family. I pray for strength
and peace for all in the same position.

In other words they renamed it. So if I call a pig a cow does that make it kosher?
Comment by GARY ATKINSON on November 9, 2010 at 4:40am
yes--i have heard all this 100 times and the basis of it is true
the key: when they stopped worshiping the names of their pagan god and started using the name of Yeshua it stopped the works of the devil.
one of the many things the catholic church accomplish by taking something that was pagan and turned it into a christian holy day as Yeshua is lifted up in his birth and even though that is not the time he was birthed it is the time of his conception as a a virgin was impregnated without being touched by a man --why not celebrate?-- such a awesome time--i do and love it--an believe almighty Yah has put his stamp of approval on it--some of the greatest memories i have is going to grandmas big farm house with my mothers family and the love and peace,,joy and laughter was heavenly--- as multi- millions has found Yeshua and many have been filled with the spirit.
so doctrinally wrong in so many areas but the relationship is there. The use of the name of Yeshua [Jesus] destroys the works of darkness.
(1Thess 5:18) Give thanks in everything, for this is the will of God in Yeshua The Messiah among you. --(Col 3:17) And everything that you perform in word and in works, do in the name of Our Lord Yeshua The Messiah and give thanks by him to God The Father. --(Eph 5:20) Be giving thanks always for the sake of every person in the name of Our Lord Yeshua The Messiah to God The Father.

Brother Gary,
Should There Be Idolatry in Our Worship

Here are some verses that should help bring understanding as to whether it is alright for us to partake in the minutest part of any pagan practices.

Leviticus 18:2-5 Speak unto the children of Yisrael, and say unto them, I am Iaue your Elohim. After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Kaynawnan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances. Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am Iaue your Elohim. Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man does, he shall live in them: I am Iaue.

Yirme-Iau 10:2 Thus says Iaue, “Learn not the way of the heathen,

1Corinthians 10:20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to Elohim: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

Deuteronomy 12:28-31 Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee forever, when thou do that which is good and right in the sight of Iaue thy Elohim. When Iaue thy Elohim shall cut off the nations from before thee, wherever thou go to possess them, and thou succeed them, and dwell in their land; Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their elohim, saying, How did these nations serve their elohim? Even so will I do likewise. Thou shall not do so unto Iaue thy Elohim: for every abomination to Iaue, which He hates, have they done unto their elohim;

Exodus 23:24 Thou shall not bow down to their elohim, nor serve them, nor follow after their works; but thou shall utterly overthrow them, and completely break down their memorials dedicated to idols.

Deuteronomy 12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shall not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

1 Kefah 1:13-17 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the favor that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Iau-shua the Moshiach; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is Set-Apart, you also be set-apart in all your conduct, because it is written, "Be set-apart, for I am Set-Apart." And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear;

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of Iaue.

Iau-Kanan 4:23-24 the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship Him. Elohim is Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.

Iau-Shua 24:14 Now therefore fear Iaue, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the elohim which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye Iaue.

Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are; Idolatry, variance, heresies, ... of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of Elohim.

Yirme-Iau 17:9-10 "The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? I, Iaue, search the heart; I test the mind, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.

Markos 7:7-9 Howbeit in vain do they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. For laying aside the commandment of Elohim, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. ..., Full well ye reject the commandment of Elohim, that ye may keep your own tradition.

Yirme-Iau 2:22-23 For though thou effervesce thyself with acid, and take thee much soap, thine sin is still marked before Me, says The Sovereign Iaue. How can thou say, I am not spiritually impure, I have not gone after Baalim[i.e. my LORD]? See thy manner of doing in the valley, know what thou hast done:
thou art a swift camel crossed in her ways;

Mattith-Iau 15:3 ... "Why do you also transgress the commandment of Elohim because of your tradition?
7-9 " Well did Yesha-Iau prophesy about you, saying:
This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. But in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.' "

Iau-Kanan 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He ..., ... abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

1Iaukanan 2:4-6 He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of Iaue is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

Hebrews 13: 8-9 Iau-Shua the Moshiach is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines.

1Corinthians 10:21 You cannot drink the cup of Iaue and the cup of demons;
you cannot partake of Iaue's table and of the table of demons.

Ephesians 5:11 ... have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.

Apparently if CELEBRATING christ-mass is of a pagan origin the Scriptures teach that we should play no part in it, and be no part of it, and that it be not in us.

The Scriptures tell us to keep the Set-Apart Days of Iaue and not to commit the idolatry of pagans.

Scriptures also tell us quote unquote -"Abstain from all appearance of evil." (1Th 5:22). That means avoid looking as if one where doing the pagan festiavls from a distance. Despite your efforts to justify keeping pagan rituals, to the world passing by (and the Heavenly Father above) your actions look exactly the same as the world (Babylonian idolatry)!

Can one ignore the true Feast of Iaue (Feast of Tabernacles [at which the Moshiach was born]) and make just the idolitrise pagan festival christ-mass? In other words barrowing from James:
"Just because one calls a pig a cow it does that make it kosher?"
Go back and re-read Deuteronomy 12:32. It says not to add to Iaue's Feastivals nor subtract from them, which is just what has been done by observing christ-mass in honor of Iau-Shua The Anointed One. Idolartry is when man makes up the program of religon instead of following Iaue's instructions.

Hope this (The Set-Apart Words of Iaue) helps in the renewing of your mind.

"REPENT for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand" (Mat 4:17)
"Come out of her [Babylon] My people" (Revelation 8:4)

Your brother in Iau-Shua the Anointed One.

P.S. – By the way, using Scriptures to justify pagan activity is bad wrong!
2Pe 3:16-17 … speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

I'm not convinced of the need for us to condemn the true worship of Messiah, by those who'd err on the day.

Is all better, simply due to the wearing of a kippa? Some practices of Judaism are not venerating to Adonai.  " Messianic" , is a moniker, which puts the "k" on something automaticly?

I've family members who've gone to delibrate cultic practice, because that's what they wanted.

If the christian joins the Wikkin, then I'd see a problem. Oh ,The twisted Kabbala of it all.

Comment by Melvin Creston Williams on December 10, 2010 at 11:02am

I have no regard for the so-called "Christ"mas as I am well aware of it's history. Not only is it a pagan celebration cobbled together from various sources, but now, in this country, it stands solely for "commercial consumerism".
