I have not written an update in about a week. I have been overloaded taking Kitty to doctor's appointments and tests nearly daily the last few weeks. Add to that that since our return from the hospital at the beginning of September, I have been handling all the housework, cooking all of the meals etc. All while trying to earn a living in a culture that has become more and more secularized. I have had to back off of some of my activities. Just this week I was removed from the Resolutions Committee of the Tarrant County Republican Party (where in the past I had worked toward the betterment of our nation) because I had not been to a single Resolutions Committee meeting since my wife entered the hospital in early August.
As most of you know, things have been very hard for us the last few months. My wife Kitty went into the hospital August 3rd and did not come home until early October. She was in the hospital for 53 days, much of it in ICU
She came home for a difficult recovery with home healthcare nurse visits several times a week.
In my last update I told you that my wife Kitty (Inga) Trimm’s condition has in recent days been getting worse instead of better. After two weeks of visiting with multiple specialists and getting multiple tests (including an expensive CT scan) we still don't have clear answers. Yes her still open wound tested positive foe E. Coli, but the test showed "scant" E. Coli, so they don't think that is the problem. The good news is that they have home health care treating the wound with antibiotics but are not readmitting her to the hospital at this time.
The CT scan showed no new hernia at this point (very good) but did not give us the answers we need, It shows the inflammation in her abdominal wall where she has been complaining of pain, but does not show a cause for it, beyond the fact that she has had six abdominal surgeries since 2015, three of them in August of 2018.
The bottom line is that she has a lot of pain, its getting worse, and she has a hard time getting around much.
We really need to raise about $1,500 by the end of the day Monday (2/11/19) to make sure the rent and other bills clear
The rent is due, we are behind on bills and paying copays for doctor visits and tests.
Any amount will help!
