One of the most unique prayers on Yom Kippur is called Al Chet, עַל חֵטְא, which is prayed 10 times on Yom Kippur according to Jewish traditions.

The final verse of this prayer is as follows, which can be found on every Jewish prayer book.

 סְלַח לָנוּ מְחָל לָנוּ כַּפֵּר לָנוּ

selach lanu mechal lanu kaper lanu

pardon us, forgive us, cover us

The gematria of this catchphrase are:

Pardon us – selach lanu

סְלַח לָנוּ

Forgive us – mechal lanu

מְחָל לָנוּ

Cover us – kaper lanu

כַּפֵּר לָנוּ

Astonishingly, “cover us” or “atone for us” has the same gematria as Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ, confirming that Yeshua the Mashiach is the one that actually atones for our sins.

The gematria of Mashiach Yeshua יֵשׁוּעַ מָּשִׁיחַ is 744, exactly 734 less 10.

Number 10 hints to the tradition that this prayer is repeated 10 times, on the 10th day of the 7th month.
