The internal conflict between the inclination to do good, and the inclination to do evil, and how to win it! Donate by Paypal to email@example.com
While I could spend a lot of time responding to every point you have made, that is not the purpose of this network.
Perhaps we can debate sometime, but not here.
You seem to miss some basic things:
1. What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.
(Romans 3:1-2 KJV)
Notice the oracles of God were not committed to uncircumcised Christians. If you want the oracles of God, the Scripture tells you to whom they were committed.
2. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you. (Zech. 8:23)
It does not say that in the last days Jews will come to gentile Christians to learn from them.
3. "Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews." (Jn. 4:22)
4. Finally, Nazarene Judaism maintains a continuity between the so-called "Old Testament" and so-callled "New Testament". You are missing this .
Finally, let us look at the NazareneSpace Rules:
1a. Nazarene Space, while open to non-nazarenes, is focused upon the historic Nazarene faith. This is not a platform for preaching or presenting anti/non/pseudo Nazarene ideas. Occasionally, if a non-Nazarene (like an Ebionite, Christian, etc. ) pops up on the Network, I may 'lift the rules' to allow discussion and interaction, but don't look for it as a regular occurrence.
We reserve the right to limit the amount of non-Nazarenes presenting their ideas in dialogue, if I allow it to go on at all. If your purpose is only to attempt to draw Nazarenes away from Historic and Scriptural Nazarene Judaism, then join another Network. If you like to argue and really aren't concerned with learning, join another Network. There are two types of unbelievers- those searching for truth and those searching for an excuse not to believe. Examine your heart and decide which one you are.
There are some things within Nazarene Judaism that are "in-house" debates (e.g.-eschatology, spiritual gifts) but these issues are not points of fellowship. Issues such as the Deity of Messiah, virgin birth, Messiahship of Yeshua, Torah Observance, acceptance of the Tanak and Ketuvim Netzarim are part of the historic Nazarene faith. They arenon-debatable.
6. Do not use Nazarene Space to promote doctrines which contradict the NazareneSpace statement of faith.
i am no intellectual, and i see Jake is quite fired up, and i dont agree with all that he has said.
however, i remember being given the Gift Of GODS Precious Holy Spirit, and on this Point i agree with him, after i repented/asked for forgiveness in Jesus Great Name, i received THE FATHERS Precious HOLY SPIRIT about 3 am the following morning. As i remember The Holy Spirit entering my body.
although i am nothing, i will stand as a second, and independent witness, that from what i have heard here, i do not recognize you as a Christian brother, perhaps you are a Jewish brother, but i recognize no Christian brother at this time in you.
i also dont agree with some of the names Jake may have thrown in your direction.
i speak in love, or at least i try...
i will continue to pray for you, and your needs, and your wifes health issues.
i take care of my wife, and often think i could lose my job as you did, for putting her 1st before my work, or getting run down some times and not caring, and often booking to many sick days.... i will try and learn from your situation, as i have been thinking about you, and your situation much lately as it relates to mine..
Peace, Bruce achristian... i wont cause anymore problems here myself
