Tanak (Old Testament), Ketuvim Netzarim (New Testament)
Favorite version of Scriptures:
I am a widow raising my oldest granddaughter, Samantha, who just turned 16 this month (March) and helping to raise my youngest grandson, Joshua (17 Mo.). I love YHWH and His Son, Y'shua. I have a hard time finding people with whom there is agreement. I was a Karaite Jew who now believes Y'shua is the Messiah. Karaites only accept Scripture as authority which puts me in a difficult position with the majority of Messianic Believers who also follow the traditions of man - such as Talmud & other such opinions of men. Please contact me if you agree as we need friends.
I like Hebraic and Messianic praise and worship music as well as dance. I can't dance very well as a drunk driver me me head-on at 70 MPH going the wrong way on an Interstate and crushed my right leg (and many other parts of my body). Praise YHWH, I walk on my own (most places) and I enjoy fairly good health - but ha satan got dancing away from me for the moment! I do expect to dance in the New Jerusalem SOON!
I am mostly interested in studying Scripture for deeper and better understanding and helping other people find their way to a Hebraic understanding of their faith.
Favorite Television Shows and Movies:
I don't watch much TV and only occasionally watch a movie for entertainment. The time is short and the field is white unto harvest! The day will soon come when i cannot work.
What is your favorite Book of the Scriptures?
Genesis to Revelation. Leviticus may be my favorite as the umbrella that keeps my family safe.
What is your favorite verse?
"A thousand may fall at your feet and ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not harm you. Only with your eyes will you see the punishment of the wicked." Psalm 91 That is greatly reassuring to me as I'm quite sure hard times are coming upon the Earth - indeed they are here.
What is your favorite quote? (From Scripture or elsewhere)
"Not by power, nor by might, but by the Ruach says YHWH." That is one of MANY. "Surely goodness and mercy shall FOLLOW me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of YHWH forever." Another good one. There are really way too many for this space.
How did you hear of NazareneSpace?
Someone I don't know sent me an invitation. It looks like he got my name from Karaite Korner or Torah Keepers.com.
Hello it's always nice to make new friends. You mentioned that : ''I am mostly interested in studying Scripture for deeper and better understanding and helping other people find their way to a Hebraic understanding of their faith.'' I am really interested in studying the Scripture for deeper understanding and really want God help me to find my way to a Hebraic understanding of my faith may be through you or another Messianic Christian. However, there is one misunderstanding. You mention that: ''Karaites only accept Scripture as authority which puts me in a difficult position with the majority of Messianic Believers who also follow the traditions of man - such as Talmud & other such opinions of men.'' Why do you think that the Talmud is the traditions of men. How should I understand you? Could you please clarify your opinion, please? However, please be aware that I have no time to study the Talmud carefully now, as I am busy fulfilling work commitments. But I am going to study the Old Testament this summer (August) with my son. Let me express my thanks to you in advance. Ilgar (you can call me even as Mr. Understanding )
Welcome. I understand your question of the Talmud. However, I am more interested in having a more in depth understanding of the Torah, and then the Prophets, the rest of the TaNaK, and then the Writings of the Nazarenes. If I am still around then I shall try to see what the Talmud and other commentary like writings are about. On my signture of my emails (A Word from a watchman) I am a Torah Observant gentile. This is to pique the interest of my gentile friends.
