Flat Earth is a Flat Lie
James Scott Trimm

There is a "flat earth" theory going around on the internet. The flat earth was actually a pagan belief. Some thought it was carried on the back of an animal such as an elephant or turtle, and most thought the earth to be flat. Yet the ancient Hebrews knew better. Our prophet Isaiah wrote:

“It is He that sits above the circle of the earth...”
(Is. 40:22a).

The Hebrew word for “circle” here is KHUG (Strong’s 2329) which refers to a “circle or sphere” and is also used to describe the arched dome-like shape of the sky (Prov. 8:27; Job. 22:14).

The ancient Hebrews were well aware of this spherical shape of the earth. Additionally the book of Job told them that the earth is not sitting on the back of some animal, but is suspended in the void of space by nothing:

“He stretches out the north over the empty space,
and hangs the earth over nothing.”
(Job 26:7)

When we compare Luke (17:34-36) with Matthew (24:40-41) we see that at the instant of the return of Messiah two will be lying in one bed (Luke 17:34-36) while two will be at work in one field and two will be grinding in the mill (Luke 17:34-36 and Matt. 24:40-41). In other words the ancient Hebrews were well aware that is night and day on different sides of the planet at the same instant!

Yeshua made the statement that certain Pharisees would “compass the sea and land in order to make one proselyte” (Mt. 23:15). The Hebrew word for “compass” in the Hebrew here is SABIBOT (Strong’s 5437) meaning to circle completely around. It is the same word used in the Hebrew of Joshua (Josh. 6:3, 13, 14) to describe the children of Israel circling Jericho seven times before the walls fell. The Aramaic of Matthew has K’RAK which has the same meaning and which is the same Aramaic word the Aramaic Peshitta text of Joshua uses in these verses. Yeshua was saying that Pharisaic “missionaries” were circling the globe seeking converts all over the world.

Do NOT send this ministry funds thru Facebook.  We recently heard from a supporter who had sent my wife funds for her birthday thru Facebook, hoping to bring her some cheer while in the hospital.  My wife never got notice of the funds and when she checked, there were no funds waiting for her in Facebook.  The supporter now believes that a thief ended up getting the money.  This was yet another attack from the Enemy!  That money was stolen at a time when we could certainly not afford to lose it

Again, do NOT use Facebook to send this ministry funds.  You can send us funds securely using Paypal.  We have used Paypal for many years without any problems.  And we are Paypal verified.

As you know this ministry has been under attack from the Oppressor.

We just got home Monday after my wife was  fifteen days in the hospital

For those who do not know, my wife Inga ("Kitty") was rushed to the hospital (Harris HEB) in an ambulance two weeks ago.  She was in intense pain and after several days of running tests she had open abdominal surgery.  She has had several complications after surgery, including a blood clot.  During these fifteen days I stayed with her by her bedside.

This is not a time that I need to be worried about ministry funds.

This has created some additional expenses for us at a time when we can least afford it, were it not for support we received immediately before this attack, I do not know how we would have gotten by this last week.  But now funds are very low, and bills are coming due.

Help us keep the vision alive!

Any amount you can donate will help!

What other ministry is reaching the Jewish people with Messiah like this ministry is?

Now is time to step up to the plate!

You can donate by going to the pay-pal counter at or donations can be sent by paypal to

Donations can also be made out to “Nazarene Judaism” and sent to:

Hmmmm. Interesting. I have heard them speak on the Hebrew term Khug.  Which does mean circle. But does it also mean a 3D sphere?  I have also been weighing things out myself.  I really do not look at the pagans because sometimes there are things that can be correct and in our zeal to remain apart we can throw the baby out with the bath water.

The flat earth to me is still something to be weighed before coming to a conclusion on either end. I am still globe but there are somethings that are questionable such as the picture displayed which is actually a composite photo.

I am not ready to say lie yet...but there still needs to be an investigation.

No one with a high school education should need to investigate this.

Thank you for pointing out about the word 'KHUG'. That adds some serious authority. Recently, there has been a sort of uprising by flat and concave earth theorists. They appear quite convincing too. Because they point out about earth being a concave disc, which also could mean a circle. And then their theories of diagonal gravity, and horizon levels at the peripheries like Antarctica doesn't make them sound completely ridiculous proposing a concave earth. Particularly even more interesting is the fact that they claim spherical earth and heliocentrism had pagan origins too.

didn't Enoch say that he could see the whole round of the earth? it is known to weatherman that the equator has a bulge due to spin of the earth, the pressure of the ocean's collect's there as it spin's. maybe they are refering to this when they say "flat" but it is hardly flat more like egg shaped! flat is very deceiving it suggest's you will "fall off the edge" and will likely result in another dark ages if that gets to be popular! just ask anyone who studies the electromagnetic field's, they will tell you the earth is egg shaped! blessings2u.

I have been looking at the Flat Earth theory for the last 2 months.  And there is a lot of biblical text to back it up.  Chug does not mean sphere by the way.  Rob Skibba did an exhaustive study on what the bible says about it, and it is very compelling, no one after looking at all the scriptures on this can come away saying that the earth is a spinning ball.  As far as anyone with a high school education should know better is totally ignoring the fact of who is the prince of this world and the ruler of the kingdoms of this earth.  This is also the father of all lies and a master deceiver.  Condemnation before investigation is the height of ignorance.  We need to audit everything we have been taught.

Funny.  YOU say CHUG does not mean "sphere" but Gesenius' Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon to the
Old Testament says it means "a circle, sphere" so I will go with H.W.F. Gesenius.

Here, look it up yourself if you do not believe me:

Ok so why is their a coriolis effect?  (And therefore why do hurricanes spin opposite directions depending on which hemisphere they originate?) Why do ship masts appear as a ship approaches over the horizon before the rest of the ship?  Why can you measure the circumference of the earth using trigonometry and measuring the lengths of two shadows at the same time at two locations?  Why can you travel and make three 90 degree terms and cross your own path making a triangle (impossible on a flat surface as you should know from high school geometry).  Why do people in the Southern Hemisphere (such as Australia and South Africa) see different stars than those who live in the Northern Hemisphere?

But like I said, it requires a high school education.

On the other hand the Bible does NOT say the earth is flat, but does describe it as a sphere suspended from the north pole in space by nothing.

Isaiah clearly knows the difference between a circle and a spherical object. Note that a few chapters prior he uses a completely different word for a ball:

Isaiah 22:18 He will surely violently turn and toss thee like a ball into a large country: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord's house.

The Hebrew word Isaiah used for "ball" here is "dur" because, of course you can't toss a circle (chug). Whereas, of course, a spherical object you can toss. He knew the difference.
