Clear Truth: Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement)

I am very excited about the work this ministry is accomplishing in bringing the message of Torah and Messiah to the world. We are also working on major projects to benefit the Nazarene community such as a Hebraic Roots Version of the Apocrypha.

I am asking you all to chip in and help support the work that we are doing here at WNAE.

The month has come to a close and as many of you know from the pay-pal counter, donations were at less than half of what normally comes into this ministry. As a result we have been unable to pay our bills.

Things are so bad that we are running short on groceries to get us through the month.

I cannot remember the last month the tithes and offerings coming into this ministry were so low.

Those who know me know that I spend nearly 80 hours a week on this work.

This ministry continues to spread the teaching of Torah and Messiah to a dark world, but we need your help.

I know you are out there and I know you support the work we are doing because you have so often told us how invaluable you believe this ministry is to restoration of Torah truth and Messiah truth to the world.

Now we need you to put your money where your faith is. I often ask the question, is this work worthy of your support? Ask yourself, have you learned anything from this ministry? If so then chip in and do your part to help spread this truth.

Stand up and support this work with your contributions, tithes and offerings. We are reaching a lost world with Torah and Messiah. Through our blogs, literature and podcasts we are also feeding young believers milk and mature believers nice juicy steaks.

Ultimately it is up to you to make this work possible.

You can donate by going to the pay-pal counter at or donations can be sent by paypal to

Donations can also be made out to “Nazarene Judaism” and sent to:

great podcast on yom kippur! james-you mentioned that the cohen ha gadol/high priest had the bells on his vest/tunic and a rope around his ankle so that the people/priests outside the kodeshkodeshim could hear the bells, in other words he was still moving, and the rope so if he was struck dead inside, they could pull the body out without risking their lives by going in to retrieve the body. i read this many years ago in a commentary in the zohar- i actually have the book, but can't find the section for the life of me. some acquaintances told me it was just a myth but i know it's at least recorded in the sefer ha aggadah, stated in the zohar somewhere, and i heard it is mentioned in the talmud-yoma maybe? james- do you have any references for that--or anyone else out there. it's become a big discussion amongst some long time buddies but no one can find the references. i'm still checking in daniel c matt's pritzker edition of the zohar, book 1. but it's like over 400 pages. any help is much appreciated. thanks.

R. Isaac said: ‘A cord was tied to the feet of the High Priest before he entered the Holy of Holies, so that if he died suddenly within they should be able to draw him out.
(Zohar 3:102a)
