I was surprized the other day to find some (mostly) likeminded beleivers here in the sticks.
Beleivers in Torah and Sabbath, however a matter of concern was a non-belief in the millenial reign of Yashua (Christ).
Every scripture I have studied makes crystal clear that the (thousand year) reign will take place on earth just following tribulation, and the great battle at "Meggido" or "Armageddon". The earth at that time shall be cleansed and we will be "kings and priests" (and farmers). We will all be required to keep Sabbath, as well as the feasts and festivals. In fact matter we are taught in that day if one refuses to come up to Jerusalem for the festival...
16And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
17And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
18And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
19This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
It just doesn't make sense to me how someone can interpret this as taking place in heaven. Isaiah chapter 11 tells us there will be a highway going up from Egypt to Jersusalem for us to make the journey.
I suppose those ingrained in the rapture doctrine would find it difficult to beleive that we would be anywhere but floating in the clouds, but scripture clearly states that we will spend a thousand years right here, with Yashua (Jesus) as our king, David our prince, preparing ourselves for the eventual coming of YHVH (God), the ancient of days, who will raze the earth with fervent heat. (even the elements will be burned up!)
Then will the Holy city (New Jerusalem) will decend from heaven and we will dwell with the Father and Son forever. (the eternity)
I'm not being a "space cadet" folks, I'm drawing directly from scripture. If you read Daniel, Isaiah, Ezekiel and Jeremiah in context (after praying for clarification), I think you will see the clear picture.
I could go on for weeks giving you examples and scripture references, however that's not my job. As a Rabbi (teacher) and Pastor, my "job" is to drop the seed and point you in the right direction.
I pray you have a great Sabbath, and enlightenment of our Father's word.
Be blessed, Lonnie
